“Native Seed Tour”, revitalization of local varieties

TIRANA, August 10 /ATA/ The “Native Seed Tour” initiative is bringing to light the forgotten treasures of Albanian agriculture, becoming a bridge between tradition and the future.

With the aim of regenerating native varieties and integrating them into the country’s food system, this initiative is bringing together farmers, chefs and agrotourism structures from all over Albania.

Thanks to this collaboration, rare native varieties are being cultivated and promoted in an increasingly wide network of structures, which prioritize authentic and sustainable products.

Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Anila Denaj wrote today in a post in social media that this journey includes names such as Bio Farm Gramsh, Sabriu guesthouse, Erebara camping, “Oxhaku i Doçit” inn, Goleci inn, Kulla Hupi, Nëna Dashuri, Fustanella Farm, Vila Disha, Blerina Farm, Restaurant Bardhi and Konaku inn, which are playing a key role in the revival of Albanian agricultural heritage.

Local varieties are no longer only left in the field, but are also finding a worthy place on the tables of well-known restaurants in Tirana and in various tourist destinations throughout the country. Chefs are including these products in their menus, bringing a unique culinary experience that combines authentic taste with the story of the history of the Albanian land.

For those who wish to consume them at home, indigenous products can also be ordered easily and quickly through the Agral Express platform, making these products more accessible than ever before. /r.e/p.s./
