Rama: Operation to clear public spaces continues apace

TIRANA, Aug 4 /ATA/ The countrywide operation to reclaim public spaces from businesses that have occupied sidewalks and areas designated for the community and citizens continues apace.

Prime Minister Edi Rama shared images today showing the clearing of public spaces by a business, affirming that the operation continues apace.

“We are working relentlessly. We kindly ask commentators to show patience as much as they can, but if they are unable to do so, we extend our understanding,” Rama wrote.
The clearance of public spaces is viewed as part of the government vision “Urban Renaissance 2.0”.

This initiative is crucial for enhancing both the quality of services and the operational efficiency of all businesses and enterprises, aligning them with national hospitality and service standards—not just in tourist regions, but throughout all of Albania.
The operation started in early July and will continue to be a priority for both local and central governments as they work to safeguard the quality of life in communities.
