TIRANA, August 4/ATA/ There is a high interest of the citizens in benefiting from the government’s Mountain Package.
For three weeks, citizens have been expressing interest in taking ownership of land in order to later develop it into a business project.
Enkelejd Musabelliu, Deputy Minister of Economy, Culture and Innovation, stated that, “There are 3175 expressions of interest mainly in the north and southeast of the country”.
During a television interview, he spoke on the steps being taken to implement the Mountain Package.
“The next step is to define priority development zones, which will be done by the municipalities. Then, the interested citizens will have to submit their requests to the municipalities,” he said.
Once the “development zones” have been approved, there will begin the actual application process of the citizens, where they must also submit a series of documents to benefit from the property.
“They will have to submit a master plan of the area they want to develop, along with a business plan on how they want to develop it and support documentation that they are the owners of that property. The municipality verifies whether the property meets the criteria and approves it,” said Musabelliu.
He reminded that the first 500 will enjoy the government benefits.
Thus, the first 500 will have no infrastructure impact tax, real estate tax, VAT and profit tax for 10 years.
The focus of the “Mountain Package” will be in the north of the country, a step that is considered to curb depopulation and promote employment. /r.e//a.f/p.s./
