TIRANA, Aug 3 /ATA/ The OSCE Presence in Tirana, in a media statement, said that it has not been involved in the drafting of the new Criminal Code.
The OSCE Presence in Albania notes the importance of the Criminal Code as a fundamental piece of legislation that merits sufficient time and an inclusive consultation process.
While we were not involved in drafting the proposed amendments, we are reviewing the available draft and stand ready to provide concrete recommendations to the incoming government and parliament, in line with our mandate to support democratic institutions and the rule of law in Albania.
