TIRANA, July 30 /ATA/ The National Books and Reading Center announced today that Albanian authoress Ledia Xhoga is a candidate for the 2025 Booker Prize.
Xhoga, with her novel “Misinterpretation”, is on the long list of contenders for this prestigious award.
Ledia Xhoga is the second Albanian writer to be nominated for the Booker Prize after Ismail Kadare, who won the award in 2005.
This year’s winner of the Booker Prize will be announced on November 10, 2025.
The Booker Prize aims to encourage greater reading of quality fiction from around the world and has already had an impact, according to statistics. /r.e/p.s./
