TIRANA, July 25 /ATA/ – Albania’s traditional cuisine is attracting growing international interest, Prime Minister Edi Rama said Friday, highlighting the country’s culinary heritage as a powerful draw for global tourism.
The government head took to the social media to share moments from a six-day tour by food blogger Daniel Balilti and video-grapher Lihi Parnes, who explored authentic Albanian dishes during a recent trip organized by the National Tourism Agency.
“Albania’s traditional flavors are winning hearts across the globe,” Rama said, noting the growing international appeal of the country’s gastronomic identity.
Organic local products and traditional dishes not only support domestic economic growth but also play a vital role in strengthening Albania’s tourism sector.
According to official figures, 4.76 million foreign tourists visited Albania in the first six months of 2025. In June alone, the country welcomed 1,329,204 international visitors, marking a 7% increase compared to June 2024.
