TIRANA, July 21/ATA/ During his meeting with Tirana’s elected MPs in the May 11 elections and the leaders of Tirana’s municipal structures, focused on illegal construction, Prime Minister Edi Rama emphasizing that, “Nothing built after 2020 will be legalized”.
“Certain individuals have occupied public space or even someone else’s property and then make a self-declaration, which practically puts them as individuals in the legalization process. Meanwhile, the legalization process by law was closed in 2020, in the sense that nothing built after 2020 will be legalized”, emphasized Rama.
Rama also focused on the builders that he described as “problematic”.
“We have discussed and will approve by law the creation of a “blacklist” of builders and investors who abuse the territory and violate the terms of construction permits. Whoever enters the blacklist will lose the right to obtain a construction permit and will be penalized if involved in the construction industry, for a certain number of years”, Rama underlined.
PM Rama said that, “The measures for this category will be drastic. We are interested in solving the problem and people getting what they deserve.”/k.s//r.e/p.s./
