EU4Youth Project: Supporting Youth Integration into Labor Market

TIRANA, July 16 /ATA/ The Steering Committee of the EU4Youth project held its second meeting, chaired by Deputy Minister of Economy, Culture, and Innovation, Olta Manjani, and the representative of the European Union Delegation to Albania, Miha Pezelj.

The meeting brought together key partners to discuss the progress of the Youth Guarantee pilot as well as the overall implementation of the ‘EU4Youth’ project.

The Youth Guarantee is the EU’s most important program for integrating young people into the labor market.

This program aims to ensure that every young person in Albania receives a quality offer for employment, education, or vocational training within four months of registering with the Employment Offices.

Around 2,000 young people from Tirana, Shkodra, and Vlora have so far been supported with offers for employment, education, or training through the Youth Guarantee scheme, implemented by AKPA with the support of the EU4Youth project.

Funded by the EU and implemented by UNDP and UNICEF Albania, the EU4Youth project supports the program’s implementation in three municipalities: Tirana, Shkodër, and Vlora.
