TIRANA, June 17/ATA/ Committee on Economy, Social and Legal Affairs at the Academy of Sciences held today its routine meeting on the state and challenges of the use of artificial intelligence in education.
Anastas Angjeli gave the opening remarks. He spoke about the necessity of improving the performance of the university system and scientific research, as a result of the impact of the development of technology and artificial intelligence, with the aim of moving towards the formation of the 4.0 university.
He then gave the floor to Adrian Civici, who delivered a speech on the topic “Towards Universities 4.0. – How Technology and Artificial Intelligence are Revolutionizing Education”.
Civici made an analysis of the role and place of universities in our society in the 21st century, of the mission of universities in the function of spreading knowledge, the quality of graduate students, scientific research, innovation and the 4.0 revolution, as well as the impact of globalization and the technological revolution on the “formation” of the universities of the future. This format is based on the four great forces of change in the modern world: stimulating new technologies; coping with and benefiting from the effects of globalization; forming qualitative social capital; improving good governance.
Civici presented the best models of organization, as well as the elements of the impact of AI on the transformation of universities through a brief history of university revolutions (1.0; 2.0; 3.0).
In the end, Civici gave some important conclusions, which prove the need of our country for the improvement of universities or professional colleges, which are still very far from the 4.0 university model. /m.q/a.f/p.s./
