TIRANA, June 15 /ATA/ – A total of 36 health centers across Albania are fully operational to provide 24-hour medical services, seven days a week, to both domestic and foreign visitors during the summer tourist season,.
Minister of Health and Social Protection, Albana Koçiu, announced on Sunday that medical teams are strategically stationed and ready to respond to emergencies or offer medical assistance, ensuring high-standard care in all tourist areas throughout the country.
“Choose Albania for a peaceful and safe holiday, with guaranteed medical services wherever you are,” said Minister Koçiu, emphasizing the importance of health during the summer months.
The summer health centers are located in the country’s most popular tourist destinations and beaches, ensuring immediate response in emergency situations. They also offer preventive and advisory services to help safeguard visitors’ health.
Koçiu stressed that the deployment of medical personnel and logistical support is part of the government’s 2025 summer season preparedness plan, aimed at making every destination a safe environment for all tourists.
In addition to the health centers, the National Emergency Service will operate 20 fixed ambulance stations in high-traffic tourist areas. Motorbike ambulances will also be deployed to enable faster medical interventions and navigate traffic congestion during peak season.
