Berisha: EPP will send a fact-finding mission to Albania

TIRANA, June 3 /ATA/ The Chairman of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, declared today that the European People’s Parties will send a fact-finding mission to Albania.

“We had an intensive day, packed with meetings involving influential figures who have a direct interest in developments in our region and in Albania,” Berisha told the media. “We presented to them the full extent of the May 11 election sham.”

Secondly, Berisha added, “Our request to send a fact-finding mission met with full understanding because Albania presents a major risk. Albanian crime, the drug cartels in Albania, represent a significant threat not only to the freedoms and rights of Albanians, including their vote, but also to the region and Europe, as a primary exporter of hard drugs coming from the East and Latin America.”

“The Albanian people should be informed that during this crucial meeting addressing our demands and the electoral farce in Albania, key figures including the President of the EPP, Manfred Weber, Secretary Dolores Montserrat, and other participants such as the Executive Secretary of the CDI, Antonio Isturiz Lopez, shared their perspectives. Additionally, we held a series of meetings with representatives of the major parties affiliated with the EPP and outlined plans for coordinated cooperation to advance our unwavering struggle against the Albanian narco-state,” stated the leader of the Democratic Party.
