TIRANA, May 24 /ATA/ – A picture by photographer Soela Zani showing Albania’s national flag and a girl wearing a xhubleta, an undulating, bell-shaped folk skirt, has been picked as one of the winners of the Folklore prize category in the second edition of the “Wanderlust in Albania” International Photography and Video Reels Contest.
Prime Minister Edi Rama shared the photo titled “The Girl with the Flag” on Saturday, writing that both Albanian and foreign photographers promote Albanian values through this international contest.
“The Girl with the Flag is the title of the photo, a close-up shot of a young girl and the Albanian national flag, by Soela Zani, one of the winners in Folklore category of the Wanderlust in Albania 2, with Albanian and foreign photographers promoting our values through competition,” Rama wrote.
The second edition of the “Wanderlust in Albania” International Photography and Video Reels Contest took place after success of the last year’s edition as an initiative aimed at promoting the country’s natural and cultural beauty through captivating imagery. The competition was open to both professional and amateur photographers worldwide.
