PM Rama concludes first plenary session of EPC Summit in Tirana

TIRANA, May 16/ATA/-By Maela Marini/ – Prime Minister Edi Rama concluded the proceedings of the first plenary session of the European Political Community Summit in Tirana, highlighting the traditional Albanian hospitality.

“I would like to share with you Albania’s earliest common law dating back to the Middle Ages, which contains a very fundamental chapter about hospitality. It starts with a quote that goes: ‘The house of the Albanian belongs to God and the guest,’”Rama said.

Rama said “this very saying is profound and its origin of the fact that we ended the World War II as the only country with a higher number of Jews after the war than before it, because they were guests in this county and Albanians protected them with their own lives.”
