TIRANA, May 16 /ATA/ “I believe that Albania has made remarkable progress when it comes to reforms,” stated the EU’s High Representative for Foreign Affairs, Kaja Kallas, today.
In a media statement following her meeting with Prime Minister Edi Rama as part of the European Political Community Summit taking place today in Tirana, Kaja Kallas was asked whether Albania would be member of the EU by 2030. She responded that “Europe must take the necessary steps.”
“Implementing reforms in rule of law and other key areas remains crucial, but the current political momentum has driven widespread backing for the enlargement process—marking a significant change,” she stated.
“At the same time, this is not only necessary for the Western Balkan countries but also for the European Union, in terms of its economic and geopolitical strength.”
