TIRANA, May 16 /ATA/ – Ecole 42, the largest network of IT schools in the world, opened its doors at Tirana’s iconic Pyramid building after the European Political Community summit that took place in the Albanian capital earlier on Friday.
The leading French Ecole 42, part of a global network of free IT schools operating in 32 countries, will now operate in Albania too as part of broader government efforts to position the country as a regional leader in the digital sector.
Prime Minister Edi Rama and French President Emmanuel Macron, on an official visit to Tirana, attended the opening ceremony at Pyramid on Friday evening.
Rama and Macron engaged in conversation with the newly enrolled Ecole 42 students.
Albanian government’s coding program is one of its most ambitious digital initiatives, aiming to equip young people with in-demand tech skills. The program is part of a larger strategy to create a “Digital Albania” by fostering high-quality employment and technological transformation.
