TIRANA, May 8 /ATA/ – Prime Minister Edi Rama, also leader of the Socialist Party, stated on Thursday that the coastal city of Vlora will host one of the most beautiful marinas for private yachts in the Mediterranean.
Speaking at the final campaign meeting, Rama said that the current port in Vlora will be transformed into a tourist port, whereas an integrated cargo port will be built in the Triport area, which will also feature a fishing port and a decent facility in line with the European Union standards.
The government head noted that a chain of new hotels and accommodation facilities are being built to boost local tourism in the coastal region.
He said that Vlora is set to become a top tourist destination and home to leadinng international hotels in the next five years.
“Vlora coastline will become one of the most-sought destinations in the Mediterranean,” he said.
