TIRANA, April 25 /ATA/-By Maela Marini/ – Prime Minister Edi Rama stated Friday that northwestern Albanian city of Shkoder was the best example showing how vote can turn history upside down from deterioration and isolation to rebirth and revitalization.
Addressing a campaign rally with first-time voters, the government head highlighted Shkoder’s remarkable transformation after a Socialist Mayor took office two years ago.
“We were finally granted the opportunity and we have done what hasn’t been done over all the previous years combined,” PM Rama said.
The Premier underlined that official data show that last year small business in Shkoder has performed best than ever before, because the northwestern city has just begun to become a tourist attraction.
He said that Shkoder is best example to show that vote is valid.
“One can see how vote turns Shkoder’s modern history upside down, from a story of degradation and isolation to a story of revival and rebirth,” Rama stated.
However, he acknowledged that a lot remains to be done, since Socialist took over Shkoder just two years ago.
