Technological support for women entrepreneurs

TIRANA, Feb 20 /ATA/ The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, in collaboration with the GIZ Albania project, is supporting women entrepreneurs in Dibër and Kukës with facilities for processing plum products.
In its announcement, GIZ Albania reveals that these facilities facilitate both solar and electric drying for the artisanal processing of the product, enhancing quality and food safety, while also addressing the increasing demand for traditional Albanian dried fruits.

This initiative supports women-led businesses in mountainous areas by creating new income opportunities and fostering local enterprise.
Dibra and Kukës are among the regions known for cultivating fruit trees, and their processing represents one of the main economic activities for the residents of these areas.
