Rama: We support universities for plans on artificial intelligence

TIRANA, Feb 18 /ATA/ Prime Minister Edi Rama said today that universities should place a special focus on artificial intelligence, and the government will fund any plans from universities in this area.

During his speech at the National Conference on Higher Education, where the 2030 Higher Education Policy Document was introduced, aiming to align Albanian higher education standards with those of the European Union, Rama emphasized, “A particular focus must be placed on artificial intelligence in all universities.”

“It is both a necessity and an incredible opportunity for a very simple reason: it doesn’t matter where you are in the world. As long as the basic conditions are met, the data you provide, and the talent you find among 10, 15, 20, or 30 young individuals you hire, something extraordinary can happen that can not only benefit you but be used by the entire world,” he said.

Rama mentioned that the government will provide funding to any university that presents a plan related to artificial intelligence.
