TIRANA, Feb 13 /ATA/ Linda Karçanaj, the Director of the National Agency for Information Society (AKSHI), stated today during the launch of the AI module developed within the European integration and membership platform at the Prime Minister’s office, where Prime Minister Edi Rama was also present, that a smart revolution is currently unfolding in the digital realm.
According to Karçanaj, today the artificial intelligence module, developed in partnership with OpenAI and Microsoft, translates every EU act within minutes. “With maximum accuracy, over 97%! And not only that: it automatically compares it with Albanian legislation, highlights discrepancies, creates comparison tables, and—finally—generates the table of concordance with a single click,” she said.
The head of AKSHI stated that this reality is called the European Integration and Membership Platform, and it comes as an electronic system that is not just a technological innovation, but a true revolution in the way we manage the process of integration into the European Union.
“Because let’s be honest: at one point, every report, every letter, every document requested by the European Commission was a journey through an endless maze. Countless emails, Word documents circulating here and there, Excel sheets that needed to be merged, people forgetting to enter data… A total mess! And in the end, everything was summed up with effort and sweat, manual work, delays, and human errors,” she added.
“I know that many of you have experienced it firsthand: you spent weeks, months, perhaps even years on end translating EU laws and regulations, analyzing where they align and where they don’t with Albanian legislation. A task that took endless time and required countless human and financial resources, as well as energy… Well, this era has come to an end,” emphasized Karçanaj.
“Albania cannot afford to waste time. The country can no longer take small steps. The waiting period is over, and the moment to act is now,” she concluded. /j.p/sm/
