TIRANA, Jan 28 /ATA/ – Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama has urged university students to apply for a host of projects funded by his government and the European Union under research and innovation funding programmes.
PM Rama inspected Tuesday the digital media lab established at the Department of Journalism and Communication, University of Tirana.
Asked at a podcast hosted by two journalism students at the new laboratory whether more similar investments will be carried out, PM Rama noted that the research and innovation funding programs are awarded to researchers and institutions solely on the basis of priority score and arguments whether their projects are worth of the funding they apply for.
The government head noted that the University of Tirana is constantly showing improved capacities to increase revenue and investments in the university, absorbing both government and EU funds.
He renewed call for more applications and new projects in order to gain support under the government and EU research and innovation funding programmes.
