TIRANA, Jan 2 /ATA/The sunny days during this year’s transition have drawn not only the residents of Saranda but also numerous visitors who are relishing strolls along the Ionian Sea promenade.
The Ionian Sea’s crystal-clear beaches and rich cultural heritage make Saranda a popular destination for both locals and tourists, even during the New Year’s festivities.
Prime Minister Edi Rama shared images of the many citizens who weathered the season and took a dip in these waters.
“Thus, 2025 has started in Saranda by the seaside, now also a beloved holiday destination,” writes Rama on social media.
Saranda, the “gem” of the south, was ranked as one of the 20 best winter destinations in Europe in 2023 by Forbes magazine. /j.p/sm/
