TIRANA, Dec 20 /ATA/The Chairman of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, at a news conference, turned the spotlight on the law for the revocation of administrative sanctions in rural areas, which was approved by the Assembly in yesterday’s plenary session.
According to Berisha, the fines in question were not revoked for the villagers, but for the government’s allies.
“This is the law, let the Albanians know. It is the list of other businesses located in rural areas. These businesses not only had their fines revoked yesterday because they paid the deputies and Edi Rama well, but right after the fines were cancelled, they gain the right to legalization, and their constructed properties are legalized,” said Berisha.
“The government’s year-end gifts for its circle, for the infamous Gjikuria, for Qefalia and his son-in-law, and for other businessmen who have built resorts or agritourism complexes in rural areas, amount to over 70 million euros. This is double the amount the government allocated to 800,000 pensioners,” said Berisha.
According to Berisha, this information comes from the digital citizen.
Berisha announced that the European Judicial Advisory Council has overridden the vetting process in Albania.
He read the section regarding the vetting process: “Although this opinion does not specifically address vetting, the European Judicial Advisory Council cannot completely disregard this issue. Vetting should not be used as a substitute for disciplinary measures,” he stated.
According to Berisha’s quote, the vetting process should not be used to address corruption, as its use is merely a witch hunt.
