TIRANA, December 17/ATA/ Tirana Mayor Erion Veliaj presented today at the premises of the “Besnik Sykja” school, Municipal Unit No 13, some of the main investment projects for the coming year, emphasizing the construction of new schools, without forgetting to mention a number of other projects that are in the focus of the 2025 budget.
Veliaj said that the number of new schools built in the last 10 years will exceed 50.
He added that another important investment is building of a fair center.
“The government has opened a preliminary competition to have a large fair center, for those who want to advertise industrial products and treat Tirana as the entry point of all fairs in the Balkans. This would increase the number of tourists, would bring more business to Tirana”, said Veliaj.
The mayor emphasized that another important project is the transformation of the Aquadrome, to turn it into a sports course space.
“We are preparing a competition for the transformation of the Aquadrome space. We will see the best ideas, but it is very important to make this space five times more beautiful, bigger and more evocative,” concluded Veliaj. /r.e/a.f/p.s./
