TIRANA, Dec 13 /ATA/ Minister of Interior Ervin Hoxha held a meeting on Friday with the prefects of the districts in the city of Korça. Hoxha stated that the meeting focused on addressing civil emergencies.
“In the follow-up to the meetings I had a few weeks ago in the Fier district, we have now held the second meeting with the prefects of the regions. We reviewed the situation concerning the emergency measures that need to be implemented and the actions that must be coordinated between the police, the prefecture, and other state institutions,” said Hoxha.
The minister also said that one of the key issues he has prioritized is the implementation of the school security package.
“Today, in the Fier district, we recorded an incident which, fortunately, was identified and resolved quickly by the police,” he emphasized.
“As you are aware, the prime minister is currently conducting a public consultation on the issue and the school security package. In the near future, the Albanian government will introduce the ‘Smart City’ system, which will improve security in and around school premises,” said Hoxha.
“Both the police and the teaching staff play a pivotal role in ensuring a safe environment. The model that students follow in schools is just as important. For this reason, the collaboration between families, schools, and the education we provide to our children is an issue that concerns us every day,” said the minister.
