TIRANA, December 13/ATA/ Prime Minister Edi Rama positively assessed today the “Transparent Albania” platform, a unique gateway for easy access to information, which places budget transparency as a priority.
Present at the presentation of this platform, Rama stated that this is another important step on the path towards “Albania 2030”.
“In fact, this is a step related to the commitments made by Albania within the framework of the new EU Growth Plan”, Rama added.
The prime minister emphasized that, “This is not about a new website or one more website on the Internet for public information, but it is about a new instrument, a new platform and a new bridge between the government and the citizens”.
“This will guarantee a greater speed and breadth in the citizen’s relationship with information from the daily activity of the government. It is a platform that is undoubtedly in line with our ambition to make Albania a worthy European country in terms of standards”, Rama added.
Thanks to this platform, Rama said that everyone can follow the Albanian government’s expenses in real time.
“This means getting to know in real time how much revenue is spent and on what it is spent. I believe, that it is a platform that will also increase the level of responsibility of the central institutions and the entire executive power system”, said Rama.
Another innovation of this platform, according to the prime minister, is its real-time updating.
With the platform, the prime minister emphasized, anyone who addresses an institution with a request to receive information will be able to follow the status of the request in real time.
“On the other hand, the platform has a mechanism that signals the institution that this request is heading towards the deadline and thus the institution can hold anyone accountable”, said Rama. /a.f/r.e/p.s./
