TIRANA, Dec 6 /ATA/The OSCE Presence organized two critical training sessions on the e-Legislation portal at the Assembly’s premises on 3 and 4 December. The sessions were conducted by experts from the University of Bologna, the Italian software company COMMED I A and Bitnomos.
The training covered the practical use of Lime Editor for law consolidation, along with the technical aspects of portal management and maintenance through Drupal. It also marked the beginning of the handover process, equipping participants with the skills and knowledge needed to ensure a smooth transition.
On 3 December, participants included superusers, staff from the Directorate of Legislative Services and the Directorate of EU Law Approximation, as well as representatives from the IT Directorate of the Albanian Parliament. In total, 25 officials attended the session, which focused on practical, hands-on application of the portal’s tools.
The 4 December’s session was more technical, with a focus on advanced portal maintenance. This session was attended by seven IT staff members, including the Director of IT.
A close collaboration between the trainers and parliament’s IT team allowed for live demonstrations and real-time adjustments, providing a hands-on understanding of the platform’s front-end and back-end functionalities.
The first phase of our Swiss-funded project “Support for e-Legislation in Albania” has entered its final stage.
