TIRANA, Oct 31 /ATA/ – Prime Minister Edi Rama lauded Thursday the European Commission’s 2024 Progress Report on Albania, describing it as “the best international document and the irreplaceable database for Albania’s EU membership.”
In his remarks at a joint news conference with the European Union’s Ambassador to Albania, Silvio Gonzato, the government head underlined that the annual document released by the European Commission is the most accurate assessment on the country’s current standing and its path toward EU integration.
“The Progress Report is the best international document and an irreplaceable database to talk about things that make sense when it comes about Albania’s EU accession process,” Rama said.
During the report’s presentation by EU Ambassador Silvio Gonzato, Rama described it as the most complete, detailed, and reliable document Albania receives.
“It is the only international report based solely on facts, avoiding perceptions and surveys,” he stated.
The Premier noted that the report aligns with the principles and standards upheld by international institutions and EU member states.
According to him, the report is a public document for everyone to read and the report’s findings mirror the reality of the developments in the country over the past 12 months.
