TIRANA, Oct 23 /ATA/ – The European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen praised Albania great strides towards the European Union as she began an official visit to Tirana on Wednesday.
In a statement on the social media platform “X”, Von der Leyen said that Albania is making great strides towards the EU and that Prime Minister Edi Rama has shown both vision and patience, which are paying off.
“Glad to start my Western Balkans tour in Albania with my friend Edi Rama. Albania is making great strides towards the EU. It is the result of many years of hard work. Dear Edi, you have shown both vision and patience. And it’s paying off,” she wrote.
