Rizzo: Implementation of new Justice strategy requires collaboration.

TIRANA, Oct 14 /ATA/ The successful implementation of justice reform and the functioning of the justice sector through expanded inter-institutional cooperation and monitoring remains a priority for the EU.

The Head of the Political Sector of the EU Delegation in Albania, Andre Rizzo, participated on Tuesday in the presentation of the new draft strategy for Justice 2024-2030, prepared by the Ministry of Justice in close collaboration with other justice institutions.

The strategy is designed to be aligned with the country’s EU accession-related priorities and provides a vision of how far the Albanian justice intends to go in the next seven years, addressing important issues such as efficiency, quality, access to justice, and transparency.

Rizzo emphasized that “the implementation of the strategy will require close cooperation and coordination among the various institutions involved, with full respect for the independence of the judiciary.”

This is also a valuable principle for the implementation of justice reform in general, which facilitates effective coordination and collaboration,” said Rizzo.
