TIRANA, Oct 4 /ATA/ The chairman of the DP parliamentary group, Gazment Bardhi, reacted on Friday in connection with the statement of the SP parliamentary group, Niko Peleshi, who said that “the opposition’s protest comes in response against a final court decision.”
Bardhi went on saying that “the CC ruling is the highest final decision with no possibility of recourse.”
“The Socialist Party has twice defied the decision of the Constitutional Court by refusing to surrender Edi Rama’s collaborator, former minister and MP Olta Xhaçka, to justice. From this moment on, the tales of 140 votes for Justice Reform, the tales of an independent judiciary, or compliance with the court decisions, claimed by those who have defied the decisions of the Constitutional Court, are testament to their shamelessness,” he added.
Bardhi emphasized that “we cannot come to terms with how justice is controlled remotely against the opposition, and how justice is ignored when it targets Edi Rama’s collaborators.”
“From the moment the Constitution was torn for the sake of Olta Xhaçka’s corruption, every shred of respect for the rule of law wanes. It is the duty and mission of the opposition to react to the Socialist Party’s attempt to dismantle the rule of law and install Edi Rama’s personal state,” he said.
