TIRANA, Oct 3 /ATA/The Special Appeal College (SAC) on Thursday upheld the decision of the Independent Qualification Commission to confirm prosecutor Erjon Shqarri in his position.
The Special Appeal College panel, composed of presiding judge Sokol Çomo, reporting judge Mimoza Tasi, and members Ina Rama, Natasha Mulaj, and Rezarta Schuetz, handed down the decision, which is final and has immediate effect.
On May 8, observers from the International Monitoring Operation requested the Public Commissioner to appeal the decision of the Independent Qualification Commission regarding the confirmation of prosecutor Erjon Shqarri in his position at the Prosecutor’s Office of the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Vlorë.
Erjon Shqarri began his career in the justice system in 2003 as a Judicial Police Officer. He was appointed prosecutor at the Prosecutor’s Office in Tropoja in 2015, and since 2016, he has been serving at the Prosecutor’s Office in Vlorë.
