Bardhi: Suspension from parliament is not based on law and evidence

TIRANA, Oct 2 /ATA/ “The chairman of the DP parliamentary group, Gazment Bardhi, reacted on Wednesday over the decision of the Secretariat for Procedures, Voting, and Ethics in the Assembly, which suspended him for 60 days from the Assembly along with DP deputies Flamur Noka and Bledion Nallbati.”

“They do not need any law and evidence to throw you in jail, let alone to suspend you from the Assembly without law and evidence,” Bardhi said in a post on platform X.

Bardhi emphasized that “the suspension of the opposition for one month from the Assembly proves how small and cowardly Edi Rama is.”

“You will face us, whether inside or outside the Assembly! You have set that hall of crime on fire! You can hide and shy away as much as you want, suspend, imprison, and persecute as much as you want; but you cannot change your fate! It has been determined by the overwhelming majority of Albanians who refuse to reconcile themselves to the rise of organized crime in governance and the transformation of institutions into gangs against the opposition,” Bardhi stated.

The Secretariat decided to suspend for 40 days another 20 MPs Saimir Korreshi, Lefter Gështenja, Luan Baçi, Agron Gjekmarkaj, Dhurata Çupi, Xhelal Mziu, Ina Zhupa, Zheni Gjergji, Helidon Bushati, Lindita Metaliaj, Ramadan Lika, Asllan Dogjani, Qani Xhafa, Flamur Hoxha, Isuf Çela, Kastriot Piroli, Lodovik Hasani, Kasem Mahmutaj, Edmond Spaho dhe Dashnor Sula.

Edi Paloka was suspended for 10 days.
