TIRANA, Sept 20 /ATA/ A roundtable was held in Tirana with the delegation of the Norwegian government chaired by the Secretary of State, Varteressian and representatives of the diplomatic corps in our country to discuss investments and cooperation in renewable energy in Albania and beyond.
Deputy Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, Ceni Klosi said that the meeting revolved around the importance of regional development and strengthening cooperation between Albania and Norway, using the great potential that the energy sector offers.
“We discussed concrete projects such as the project of Norwegian renewables group Statkraft, which with the support of the Albanian Government, will further develop renewables and increase energy security in Albania, even developing this sector at highly competitive levels in the regional market.
Also, during the bilateral meeting the parties expressed commitment to establishing a joint working group, for intensifying joint projects.
