TIRANA, Aug 30 /ATA/ Prime Minister Edi Rama, in his remarks at the GLOBSEC 2024 Security Forum, held on Friday in Prague, also spoke about the dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia.
“Albania has stood up for peace, dialogue, common progress. A lot of things become clear when you start from here, and more steps can be taken going forward. In this respect we have promoted peace and dialogue with all. We don’t have to look to the future with the eyes of the past. Therefore, I decided to visit Serbia 68 years after the last visit there,” Rama said.
“It was the starting point of something I strongly believe in. The Western Balkans is in a better position than it was. On the other hand, I have to say that I no longer see any big difference between us and the EU. Of course, when it comes to economy, we have a gap to fill, but for the rest I see no change. We are Europeans, we have been Europeans. To sum it up, we would be a value added,” Rama said.
