TIRANA, August 24/ATA/ On this day, 33 years ago Ukraine gained independence from the Soviet Union.
Speaker of the Assembly Elisa Spiropali congratulated Ukraine today on the Independence Day, while emphasizing that, “Albania maintains an unwavering stance in support of Ukraine”.
“Friendly Ukraine celebrates Independence and Freedom Day today. On this marked day, the people of Ukraine find themselves involved, against their will, in the liberation struggle for the defense of sovereignty and territorial integrity from the neo-imperialist aggression of Putin’s Russia”, wrote Spiropali.
Speaker of the Assembly emphasized that, “Albania maintains an unwavering stance in support of Ukraine, together with the USA, the EU, NATO, and the democratic world, in all international forums and organizations, starting with the United Nations Security Council until the Summit “Ukraine – Southeast Europe”, which was held on February 28 in Tirana”.
“Our staunch support for Ukraine will continue, not only for its liberation, for the protection of sovereignty and territorial integrity, but also for security, the restore of international order, for a just and lasting peace. Slava Ukraini”, wrote Spiropali. /m.m/p.s./
