TIRANA, August 23/ATA/ The servicemen of the Armed Forces in cooperation with the firefighter teams of Berat region and the police forces have successfully completed the operation to extinguish the fire burning in the vicinity of the village of Skrevan, Dimal municipality.
The fire spread over an area of about 20 hectares of bushes and medium vegetation. 20 servicemen of the Armed Forces, 37 firefighters, 20 police officers and seven fire engines were involved in the operation.
Initially, it is suspected that the cause of the fire was the rupture of a high voltage line, but after about 8 hours, the situation returned to normal. /a.f/p.s./
