Manja: We will present changes to Private Enforcement Service law

TIRANA, July 18 /ATA/-By Maela Marini/ Minister of Justice, Ulsi Manja, announced on Thursday that very soon the Ministry of Justice will present to the Parliament changes to the Private Enforcement Service law.

Amid the heated debate that took place in the Assembly regarding the annual report of the Bank of Albania, Manja intervened by speaking about the Private Enforcement Service, whose activity is overseen by the Ministry of Justice.

The minister emphasized that we already have a modern law on the Public Enforcement Service that competes with the Private Enforcement Service.

“The role of the private Enforcement Service was attacked in this session. The Ministry of Justice and the Bank of Albania are linked by the activity of the Private Enforcement Service and that of taking loans from banks or non-banking financial institutions. The Enforcement Service is regulated by the law of 2008, then in 2019 we adopted a new law for the Private Enforcement Service, which is a self-regulated service,” said Manja.
The Minister emphasized that there are 129 active licenses in the Private Enforcement Service.

The private executors who, in the assessment of the Ministry of Justice, have committed not just administrative violations but criminal violations, cannot taint this service, because it is a profession where the vast majority of these professionals exercise their activity in accordance with the law,” Manja said. .
