TIRANA, July 18 /ATA/ The State Police continue ground and air operations to crack down on the cultivation, production and sale of narcotics.
Minister of Interior Taulant Balla on Thursday congratulated the State Police in Shkodra, Mirdita and Tirana, for the multiple operations in cooperation with the relevant prosecution offices.
Balla emphasized that thanks to these operations, more than 30 thousand narcotic plants were destroyed, as well as a quantity of cocaine was seized, while 6 citizens were proceeded against.
Within a year, the State Police have dismantled 61 criminal groups and organized 129 international operations with partner agencies.
