TIRANA, June 20 /ATA/ – The head of the Euro-Atlantic Democrats faction in the Democratic Party, Lulzim Basha, stated Thursday that no conspiracy against would prevent his group’s alternative in the next year’s parliamentary elections.
Basha told a televised interview that “the Democratic Party was founded as a Western and Euro-Atlantic party and would remain as such, because it is in best interest of Albania and Albanians.”
“No conspiracy hatched by Berisha and Rama against justice and DP can prevent alternative of our political force in the upcoming elections,” Basha said.
According to Basha, time had proved him right, adding that every statement about Berisha’s political movements have now become a reality.
“This is because Berisha is using Democrats to defend his position in the face of justice after having been declared persona non-grata and as such he has become the most precious asset in the hands of Edi Rama,” he said.
Basha underlined that he remained resolute in his mission to provide a dignified alternative for all Albanians, promising that his vision for Albania will be presented in the upcoming elections.
