TIRANA, June 17/ATA/ In the domestic foreign currency exchange market, the common European currency Euro has been exchanged for almost two months with about 100 Lekë, undergoing only some minimal fluctuations.
According to exchange rate agents, the European currency is expected to weaken further in the coming months, driven by tourist flows during the summer.
The arrival of more tourists in the country means more currency in the local market. Besides, the euro has weakened in the international market as a result of the election results in Europe.
According to Bank of Albania, the euro is almost 13 points lower, compared to the same period last year when it was exchanged at 112-113 Lekë. /p.s./
