TIRANA, June 16 /ATA/ The Institute of Statistics of Albania and the Durrës Port Authority signed a memorandum of understanding in recent days.
The MoU was signed in the presence of the Deputy Prime Minister, also Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, Belinda Balluku, the General Director of INSTAT, Elsa Dhuli and the General Director of Customs, Genti Gazheli, the Directors of the Border and Migration Department at the State Police, Saimir Boshnjaku, Rector of “Aleksandër Moisiu University – Durrës”, Prof. Dr. Kseanela Sotirofski, the General Director of the “Transport Institute”, Lilika Radovicka, the General Director of the “Innovation and Excellence Agency”, Enkelejda Imeraj and the General Executive Director of the “Durres Port Authority,” Pirro Vengu.
The purpose of this memorandum is mutual inter-institutional cooperation with the aim of improving the regulatory and operational framework on the smooth running of logistics processes and public services in the field of maritime logistics and supply chains, as well as increasing the capacities and performance of personnel responsible for data analysis and statistics in institutions participating in this initiative.
The cooperation aims at the aggregation of capacities in the collection, analysis and interpretation of data, the development of sustainable methods and methodologies for data analysis as well as consulting in the use of innovative technologies in the field of maritime logistics and supply chains.
