TIRANA, June 11/ATA/ Prime Minister Edi Rama, at the same time chairman of the Socialist Party, stated today that the tour of meetings with Albanians abroad will continue in September with meetings in London and Düsseldorf, while there is also being prepared a meeting with the Albanian nationals in the USA.
At the meeting of the National Assembly of the SP, Rama appreciated that, “There has been a significant positive development even with the organization of the SP in emigration”.
“We held the first 2 meetings of the agreed tour to meet the Albanians of Europe and beyond. In Greece and Italy, the meetings were not just an end in itself, nor just meetings without continuation, but they were at the same time a knock on the door of the Albanians of Europe, beyond the walls of the hall”, said Rama.
According to him, “There has begun a significant work to completely reenergize the network of members and sympathizers of the SP”.
The prime minister announced that the tour will continue in September.
“Due to the early elections in London, it became a separate problem to get the hall that we had booked before. And in an election situation, it is normal for us to avoid a meeting that despite of the fact that it is not directly related to the elections in Great Britain, however, it is a political meeting”, said Rama.
Likewise, the prime minister emphasized that it was considered reasonable not to hold even the other Düsseldorf meeting at a time very close to the match of our national team.
“We would not like to create an idea of a confusing two things even though the meeting was organized. Therefore, in September we will resume the tour and hold the meetings of Germany and Great Britain, while we will also prepare a meeting in the USA”, he added. /p.s./
