TIRANA, June 10 /ATA/ – The Democratic Party chairman Lulzim Basha congratulated the centre-right European People’s Party (EPP) in the European Parliament elections across the European Union member states.
In a post on the social media X, the main opposition DP chairman voiced confidence that EPP victory is a guarantee for the continuation of the integration process of Albania and the region.
Basha also felicitated his friends and colleagues in EPP for the election result, saying it represents the founding values and ideals on which the EU was built upon.
“European citizens chose again the European Peoples Party as the largest governing force in Europe. A victory of founding values and ideals on which the Union was built upon. These values will be guiding all of us for the next 5 years,” Basha said.
“A strong EPP is an anchor of stability in challenging times for Europe and a guarantee for the continuation of the integration process of Albania and the region. Best wishes to our EPP friends and colleagues and President Weber for the outstanding result,” Basha said in his statement.
