TIRANA, June 7 /ATA/ – An Albanian Security Academy delegation, led by Rector Ilirjan Mandro, traveled to Phoenix, Arizona last week to participate in the 2024 International Association of Directors of Law Enforcement Standards and Training (IADLEST), Conference.

The United States Embassy in Tirana said Friday that the U.S. visit was hosted by the Department of Justice’s International Criminal Investigative Training Assistance Program (ICITAP).

Albania joined 25 international delegations and more than 250 Academy Directors from across the United States, to exchange best training practices and share lessons on pedagogy, accreditation standards, policies, training management, and emerging technologies.

“ICITAP and the Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) support the Albanian State Police and the Security Academy in their rigorous journey to attain training and standards excellence with IADLEST accreditation as part of the United States’ support of the rule of law and justice reform for Albania law enforcement,” the U.S. Embassy said.
