TIRANA, May 31/ATA/ Prosecutor General Olsian Çela and Ambassador of the European Union to Albania Silvio Gonzato met yesterday to discuss issues related to the proper functioning of the justice system and its role in the integration process in the EU.
The Prosecutor’s Office reported that, “During the meeting, the interlocutors highlighted the importance of following the recommendations of the EU, considering this a priority. They also talked on the support that the latter can provide for the prosecution office. In particular, the ambassador ensured the support of the EU delegation to Albania for establishment of the management system in the prosecutor’s office.
The General Prosecutor also raised concern about the absence of adequate infrastructure in some of the prosecutor’s offices and courts in the country as well as the absence of a clear perspective for solving the problem. /a.f/r.e/p.s./
