Prime Minister Edi Rama published today in the social media photos from the barley and wheat fields in Libofsha of Fier, where every year the areas planted with cereals and other agricultural crops increase.
Thanks to the colossal work done in all these years to rehabilitate the drainage and irrigation system, there are more reactivated canals and more irrigated land in the entire area of Myzeqe, which has led to an increase in agricultural production.
In addition to investments in agriculture, the free oil scheme and support measures for farmers have enabled farmers to reduce production costs and increase the use of mechanization, more so in this difficult period created by the increase in prices of the imported commodities.
The agricultural sector is among the sectors with the largest contribution to the Gross Domestic Product.
