TIRANA, May 17/ATA/- At the start of a tour of inspections along the coastal area of the country, Minister of Tourism and Environment Mirela Kumbaro stopped in Dhërmi where she highlighted the significance of the aesthetic re-dimensioning, especially in areas where public spaces are separated from private ones with the aim of not being used by the latter as waste disposal sites.
“The beach season has started earlier than every other year. Meanwhile, the preparations have also started on time and we will have to do a more intensive cleaning work until the end of May. What worries me is still an irresponsibility on the part of businesses in relation to waste, but also in private spaces with ugly objects, waste that they throw away without any care and that spoils the image of the property and public space”, stated Kumbaro.
The minister emphasized that, “We will be determined with the National Inspectorate of Territory Protection and the municipality to clean all the divisions of private spaces from public spaces and all businesses will be forced to cooperate in this aspect”.
According to her, “We cannot have a very beautiful hotel and a very ugly separation fence, so we will have to close this process within this week”.
During this inspection, Minister Kumbaro, accompanied by the prefect of Vlora Vangjel Tavo and Mayor of Himara Blerina Bala warned of the tightening of controls and called on the municipality of Himara to take urgent measures against businesses that do not respond to the rules for stopping construction works on the weekends and during the peak of the season as well as those who pollute public spaces./p.s./
