Spanish PM Sanchez considers resigning/PM Rama: Never surrender, truth will prevail

TIRANA, April 25 /ATA/ – Prime Minister Edi Rama reacted Thursday after a statement issued by the Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez, who said that he was reflecting on the possibility of resigning after his wife is under investigation on suspicion of graft.

In a message to Sánchez via the social media, PM Rama said: “It is a privilege to have your friendship and the opportunity to work with you in these turbulent times for the values and principles we believe in and fight for.”

“Having you as the leader of our socialist movement means being guided in our endeavours by a man of wisdom and undeniable integrity. You have all our support in these times where resilience is needed more than ever against liars, smearers, and manipulators of facts from the fringes of the political sphere. It is an honor to stand by you,” PM Rama stated.

“Your achievement of the presidency of the government through fair and legitimate elections, and thanks to the politics of honesty, solidarity, and relentless will for dialogue you have delivered for your nation, is a compelling reason to continue the fight. For Spain, for Europe, and for all of us. Never give up, never surrender, never doubt that the truth will prevail my dear friend,” Rama concluded his message.
