TIRANA, March 25/ATA/ The World Bank is preparing a new Report on Climate and Development in Albania.
The findings of the draft report were presented in Tirana today in a consultative meeting with representatives of the government, Parliament, private sector, academia and civil society.
“On the one hand, the report analyses Albania’s contribution to reducing pollution and on the other hand, it defines what the country needs so that to be prepared to face the consequences of climate change such as floods, droughts or fires,” said Country Manager of the World Bank for Albania Emanuel Salinas.
Data from the report being prepared show how mitigation of climate change and adaptation can bring about significant benefits by preventing in time of losses and social-economic damages./p.s./
